billion in sales in 2025.Job DescriptionSika is looking for Maintenance Electrical Technicians to join it's growing team in the Sealy, TX area for the roofing business. All shifts are available.The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical, automation, and control systems within a highly automated PVC manufacturing facility. This role focuses on ensuring the safe and reliable operation of extrusion lines, material handling equipment, utility systems, and process controls through advanced electrical and automation support.
The ideal candidate possesses strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial automation, and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues involving PLCs, drives, HMIs, instrumentation, and power distribution systems.
Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems up to 480V.Install, maintain, and repair motors, motor controls, starters, relays, and electrical distribution equipment.
Diagnose and correct electrical failures in production machinery and facility systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation.
Perform electrical testing using multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment.
Maintain electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, breakers, power supplies, and control circuits.
Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Associate Degree, Technical Certification, or Trade School training in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and automated production equipment.
Experience supporting PLC-controlled manufacturing systems.
Experience in plastics, PVC extrusion, chemical processing, or automated manufacturing environments preferred.
