The Electrician Associate I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled printing and packaging equipment using a laptop computer. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency across the facility.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical malfunctions using test instruments, manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance. Connect and install electrical wiring and components to equipment and machines, including high and low voltage applications. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems such as motors, lighting fixtures, transformers, and control systems. Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or compliance issues and recommend solutions. Advise management on hazardous conditions and recommend equipment shutdowns when necessary. Install and route conduit and wiring according to blueprints and building codes. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install or repair electrical wiring and systems. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices.Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Maintenance, Electrical, or Industrial Technology preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Must pass Ramsay Assessment (60 mechanical and 60 electrical questions). Availability to work outside of standard business hours as needed. Ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in electrical maintenance work. Excellent analytical, organizational, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications Basic math skills for inventory counting and recording. Must be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Must have or be willing to acquire required tools for the position.Physical Requirements:
