Job Description

Journeyman ElectricianHourly Pay:
$50.00 - $65.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working in a variety of industrial and commercial environments. This role is ideal for a licensed electrician with strong experience in electrical maintenance, lighting systems, power distribution, and service work who is looking for career growth, excellent benefits, and long-term stability.

Position SummaryAs a Journeyman Electrician, you will perform the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems at customer facilities throughout Texas. The primary focus of this role includes electrical service work, lighting upgrades, lighting controls, branch circuits, power distribution, and general electrical maintenance.

The ideal candidate is a licensed electrician who can work independently, diagnose electrical issues efficiently, and provide high-quality customer service while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.

Perform lighting installations, retrofits, upgrades, and maintenance, including LED conversions.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving lighting systems, panels, circuits, breakers, and power distribution equipment.

Install and service indoor and outdoor lighting, site lighting, security lighting, and emergency lighting systems.

Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.

Perform preventive maintenance and service work at customer facilities.

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical panels, disconnects, transformers, and branch circuits.

Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and customer safety requirements.

Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and project documentation.

Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.

Represent the company professionally while working in the field.

QualificationsRequiredCurrent Texas Journeyman Electrician License.4+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Experience with lighting systems, electrical maintenance, and service work.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Texas.

Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

PreferredExperience with LED lighting retrofit projects.

Experience with parking lot, site, security, warehouse, and industrial lighting systems.

Familiarity with lighting controls, occupancy sensors, time clocks, and photocell controls.

Experience in manufacturing, industrial production, logistics, distribution, or commercial facilities.

Ability to operate lifts, bucket trucks, or other access equipment.

TravelTravel is primarily within the State of Texas.

Most assignments involve leaving Monday morning and returning home Friday afternoon.

Occasional overnight travel may be required depending on project location.

Opportunities are available for candidates interested in additional travel and overtime.

Work ScheduleTypical target schedule: 40-50 hours per weekAdditional overtime available based on customer and project demands.
