What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
- Electrical FLSA Exempt Contract Length N/A Class Summary Provide lecture and hands on instruction to train the next generation of Electrical Wiring helpers.
- Journeyman license, degree or certificate. Five (5) years' experience in the industrial or construction field as an Electrician.
NCCER ICPT
Instructor Credentials. Minimum Knowledge & Skills- Knowledge and understanding of electrical codes, procedures and practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of installation of electrical wiring and conduit.
- Knowledge and understanding of testing devices such as ohm meters, volt meters, or oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge and understanding of use and interpretation of schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge and understanding of safety and housekeeping rules for a safe training environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Preferred Knowledge & Skills None. Job Duties
- Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials through lecture and lab instruction.
- Maintain accurate student accounting records in compliance with COM.
- Provide counsel/guidance to students when there is a need.
