Job Description

Salary commensurate with experience The Electrical Maintenance Apprentice must hold an Associate Degree or be a technical school graduate in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Technology OR have 4 years of Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial /manufacturing facility
Duties and Responsibilities:
Toubleshoot, repair and maintain the plant equipment to ensure proper operation and running efficiency
  • Diagnose problem areas and make recommendations for improvement
  • The design and redesign of minor circuitry including motor controls
  • Install new equipment and projects Test new equipment and improvement projects Revise electrical schematics to correspond to actual wiring and circuitry Learn all aspect of the plant and associated equipment including the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the process control systems Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant equipment Find the root cause of the problem and make sound decisions and repairs Interpret and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings Train fellow maintenance department technicians Train production personnel to correctly perform daily TPM line checks Utilize proper electrical codes where applicable Clean electrical department areas Complete daily equipment reports, work orders and log book data entry Must be able to work a rotating shift and work outside the normal schedule to complete emergency, scheduled or PM repairs • The job is subject to extreme cold and extreme heat temperatures, below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees for period of more than one hour.
Schedule:
12 hour rotating shift, on call, weekend and holiday availability
