Overview We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and construction, with the ability to work on various projects, including renovations and new builds. This role requires expertise in low voltage systems, adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC), and proficiency in reading schematics. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. Work on low voltage systems including alarms, communications, and data networks. Perform renovations by integrating electrical components into existing structures. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project completion within deadlines. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites. Skills Proficient in low voltage electrical work and related installations. Strong knowledge of frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in electrical work. In-depth understanding of electrical principles, NEC standards, and safety practices. Ability to renovate spaces while integrating new electrical solutions seamlessly. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Competence in using voltmeters for testing electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
