Ready to work with a team that truly cares about if you and your family are succeeding? We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our amazing team. This vital role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and residential projects. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Fire Protection Association), and the NEC (National Electrical Code). You will play a vital role in ensuring a professional, safe, and fun environment for our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your electrical knowledge while allowing you to enjoy work again. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential environments using electrical schematics and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations in accordance with safety standards and local codes. Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures and implement corrective actions promptly. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries on construction sites or renovation projects. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution from blueprint reading to final wiring. Interact and be the face of Vantage Electric Solutions with our customers. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities. Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial and commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards and the NEC (National Electrical Code). Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints related to low voltage systems. Experience working on construction sites. Strong understanding of local electrical codes, safety procedures, and proper wiring techniques for high-voltage applications. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers along with power tools necessary for installation tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently under pressure. Prior experience with construction or renovation projects is highly desirable; handyman skills or frame carpentry experience are a plus.
