An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including residential homes, historic estates, local government facilities and some light commercial sites. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other specialized equipment to perform precise electrical work. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems on construction sites or renovation projects to identify issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts effectively. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure compliance and accountability. Follow all safety protocols related to working with power tools, high voltage systems, and schematics reading to prevent accidents or hazards. We are also a service call based business so lots of different calls can happen through the day. We only work with a select few specific contractors, so no large long term lingering jobs. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments. Hands-on experience. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting electrical issues. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage safety procedures aligned with NEC standards. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; prior experience with construction site work is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction site safety practices including frame carpentry and handyman skills is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, have a strong work ethic, drivers license with reliable vehicle and ability and want to learn. MUST be able to listen to direction and be reliable..
