Electrician Journeyman 1 (Applicants must hold a current Electrical Journeyman License)

Journeyman Level 1 is the entry stage for licensed electricians transitioning from apprentice to journeyman responsibilities. The focus is on applying training in real-world conditions while working independently on standard residential tasks. Position Summary The Level 1 Journeyman works independently on routine residential installations and repairs while continuing to strengthen technical expertise. This position emphasizes applying NEC codes, building efficiency, and reinforcing safe work practices. Key Responsibilities Standard Installations (40%)

• Install outlets, switches, lighting, and simple circuits. Troubleshooting (25%)
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues. Compliance (20%)
• Ensure all work adheres to NEC and local codes. Team Support (15%)
• Assist and mentor apprentices as needed.

Key Expectations Performs residential tasks independently with minimal supervision. Applies NEC knowledge consistently and accurately. Demonstrates strong safety practices and efficiency. Qualifications & Requirements Licensed Journeyman Electrician. 4-5 years of electrical apprenticeship or equivalent. Strong knowledge of residential systems and NEC codes. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Active job sites, indoor/outdoor environments. Lifting up to 50 lbs., working on ladders, confined spaces, or elevated areas.
