SUMMARY:
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of equipment in the plant. This position also provides support to plant management in their efforts to produce a wholesome, quality product for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility's electrical equipment. Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, tape actuated controls and other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments to PLC Control logic including programming Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities including air compressors, nitrogen lines, and lighting systems. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions including building of carts and layout boards without prints. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report these and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit, using tools, such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender. Assist with designing and building of control cabinets and all associated wiring. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Respond to plant emergencies including Haz-Mat incidents, equipment malfunction, fires, severe weather, etc. as directed by supervisory personnel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
PUBLISHED PAY RANGE
$25-$35/hour EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
