Job Overview We are looking for an experienced electrical technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, finding the root cause, and getting equipment back up and running. This is a hands-on field position focused on commercial electrical service, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and corrective work. Our technicians work with a variety of commercial electrical systems and equipment, including AC electrical systems, controls, communications, monitoring systems, and power equipment. The Technician's primary responsibility is to support Operations and Maintenance activities by quickly responding to solar system performance maintenance, ensuing optimally performing solar systems and providing excellent customer service to our customers. Duties /

Responsibilities:

• Prepare job site for solar installation and maintain a clean and safe job site abiding by all safety regulations and protocols.
• Assist in structurally mount racking, solar panels, and electrical equipment.
• Use of power tools, ladders, and other equipment during installation process and maintain inventory of equipment.
• Completes quality assurance inspections, documents corrective actions and ensures completion of corrective actions within defined timelines.
• Identifies solutions to resolve technical design problems, including electrical systems used during construction; collaborates closely with manufacturers and engineering team.
• Develops and uses knowledge of all roof types and the appropriate flashings and mounts to use on those roofs.
• Manages and resolves customer maintenance, service tasks and issues in a timely manner.
• Documents progress and other key communications to customers and relevant Got Electric employees.
• Must be able to satisfactorily perform duties without field supervision.

Experience:

• High School Diploma (or GED)
• 3 + years' electrical experience
• 2 + years' solar experience
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Proficient in MS Office
• OSHA 30 certified

Work Environment:

• Work can take place inside and outside in various temperatures and weather conditions.
• Various weather conditions include cold and snowy, hot and humid and everything in between.

Must be comfortable working in different environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Must be able to climb ladders and comfortable with heights
• Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds at a time.
• Work postures include reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing and handling objects above/below the shoulders.

Pay:

$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
