Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will support the upkeep and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance tasks across various building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment. Use hand tools and electrical equipment to perform repairs and installations accurately and safely. Support the troubleshooting of electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Perform basic carpentry, painting, and facilities interior maintenance to uphold the aesthetic and functional quality of the environment. Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and conducting routine inspections. Follow safety protocols when working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment, or welding tools. Assist senior technicians with complex repairs involving HVAC system repair or electrical work as needed. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to support maintenance activities effectively. Support maintenance painting projects to ensure facilities are visually appealing and well-kept. Contribute to customer service efforts by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques. Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures. Knowledge of HVAC systems including basic HVAC system repair skills. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical issues safely in accordance with industry standards. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members. Ability to perform building interior maintenance tasks such as painting or carpentry as needed. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices in a facilities environment preferred. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary. Leadership qualities are desirable for future growth opportunities within the team.
