In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within industrial environments. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems in accordance with electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and local electrical codes. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Conduct diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults within electrical systems. Maintain safety procedures by adhering to electrical safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in industrial machinery, commercial electrical systems, and automation controls like programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new project phases to ensure seamless integration of electrical components. Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical systems. Proven ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Skilled in high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and control wiring for automation equipment. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, testing devices such as ohmmeters, and troubleshooting electrical systems efficiently. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures related to electrical work. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations or upgrades. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics quickly while maintaining precision under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship.
