Monday-Friday, Full-Time Onsite (Occasional after-hours, emergency, or on-call support may be required) Join the T47 International Team T47 International is seeking a skilled Electrician to support facilities operations and maintenance at a federal facility in McLean, VA. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial electrical systems to ensure the safe and reliable operation of mission-critical facilities. The ideal candidate has experience working in commercial, institutional, or government facilities and is knowledgeable in electrical distribution systems, power generation equipment, and building electrical infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose electrical issues and perform corrective repairs to restore building operations. Install and repair electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, panels, circuit breakers, controllers, motors, lighting systems, receptacles, and associated electrical components. Install and repair conduit, wiring, raceways, and electrical distribution systems. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings. Perform electrical testing using multimeters, meggers, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Calculate electrical loads and verify installations comply with applicable codes and specifications. Coordinate electrical work with other maintenance trades to complete facility repairs efficiently. Document completed work, materials used, and maintenance activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with
OSHA, NFPA 70
(National Electrical Code), and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Minimum Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of commercial electrical experience . Virginia Journeyman Electrician License required. Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial electrical systems and distribution equipment. Working knowledge of electrical generation, distribution, and utilization systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment using standard testing instruments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical specifications. Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Valid driver's license. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to successfully pass any required background investigation and maintain facility access. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal or government facilities. Experience working with emergency generators, transfer switches, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
