An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with installation, repair and maintenance of 3-phase electrical distribution and equipment. Experience with installation, repair and maintenance of 480V, 277V, 208V and 120V lighting systems. Experience with fire alarm systems, elevators, pumps, motor controls, generators and emergency light systems. Two years' experience in the electrical field.
