To succeed in this role you need no prior electrical experience, but will need exceptional work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a thirst for knowledge.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Introductory skills Safely working with DC voltage as well as 480/240/120 A/C Voltage Soldering cables Building junction boxes & electrical pushbutton panels Electrical plumbing & conduit bending Engraving Reading electrical schematics Forklift operation Motor wiring Maintaining a clean workspace & shop Intermediate/Advanced skills Relay logic Motor control center wiring Variable frequency drive (VFD) operation Electrical pushbutton panel check-outs and troubleshooting Cable sizing Understanding and referencing the National Electrical Code (NEC) book The Control Electrician may be called upon to assist with duties outside of his/her daily tasks & job description. Sometimes overtime will be required to make deadlines
