Full Job Description HVAC Commercial Estimator Pay:
$95,000 - $110,000 Base Salary, depending on experience + performance bonuses
Work Schedule:
Full Time | Monday through Friday Emerald Aire Inc | Auburn WA We are a collaborative commercial HVAC contractor focused on delivering both design-build and plan-and-specification projects. As we continue to grow throughout the Puget Sound area, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial HVAC Estimator to develop strong relationships with General Contractors, identify new project opportunities, and contribute to our ongoing success.

What You Will Be Doing:
Develop and strengthen partnerships with commercial general contractors to support long-term business growth Represent the company at pre-bid conferences, networking opportunities, and industry events to expand client relationships Prospect for new business opportunities and contribute to winning commercial construction projects Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and design-build documents to develop complete project estimates Produce comprehensive, accurate, and competitive bid proposals for prospective projects Create detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and supporting pricing documentation Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain and verify material and equipment pricing Evaluate project scope for potential risks, omissions, and value engineering solutions that enhance project success Collaborate with engineering and project management teams during preconstruction planning and estimating activities Facilitate an effective transition from the estimating phase to project execution by coordinating with operations teams Maintain consistent communication with general contractor partners from initial bidding through project completion
What We Are Looking For:
At least five years of experience preparing estimates for commercial HVAC projects Background in sales, client development, or maintaining customer relationships is beneficial In-depth understanding of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems, along with relevant industry codes and standards Experience coordinating with commercial general contractors on construction projects Skilled at reviewing and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications Familiarity with construction schedules, project phases, and overall jobsite operations Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and project teams Excellent organizational skills, capable of balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and industry-standard estimating software
