Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to identify faults efficiently. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks on residential or renovation projects involving industrial or commercial systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to diagnose problems related to low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or industrial electrical components. Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry or handyman tasks during renovations or new builds. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance documentation for each project. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in residential settings. Demonstrated experience working with industrial and commercial electrical systems is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Skilled in high-voltage wiring techniques for industrial or large-scale residential projects. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high-voltage wiring is a plus. Ability to perform installation tasks using hand tools, power tools, and construction site equipment safely. Excellent understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during installation or repairs. Construction site experience including renovation projects is preferred; experience with blueprint reading is essential.
