Electrician Job Description We are seeking a licensed journeyman electrician to oversee a 4-5 year project transitioning fluorescent lighting to LED in tanks used for algae growth. This role requires expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures. Responsibilities Follow safe working practices and procedures while participating in safety programs. Adhere to current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. Repair and maintain electrical systems and control systems on equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, electrical networks, control panels, and other control system components. Interface with supervisory personnel about equipment conditions and electrical system difficulties. Maintain, repair, and install plant lighting (LED). Utilize electrical/electronic prints/schematics, ladder logic, plant computer systems, the current National Electrical Codes, and test equipment to complete tasks. Take electrical and maintenance calls when on shift or on call and perform all jobs as assigned. Plan and schedule additional work as needed, entering and performing work on work orders. Understand the purpose of Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance and participate in these programs. Complete work ticket and PM documentation, including spreadsheets and work ticket software. Maintain a clean and functional work area. Locate parts and reference part numbers accurately. Enter data into computer systems and daily paperwork in a timely manner. Ensure attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Mentor and train junior team members in electrical work. Provide accurate assessments of vendor quotes. Program and troubleshoot control systems, diagnosing and fixing issues in custom equipment. Essential Skills Licensed electrician with strong technical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in electrical conduit, wiring, and troubleshooting. Journeyman license. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. 3+ years of experience in an industrial setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate degree in Maintenance Technology or a closely related discipline. Two plus years of applicable facilities or maintenance experience. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements and manufacturing systems. Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Related certification/degree preferred. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moses Lake, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
