The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems and a strong understanding of safety protocols. This role involves working on various electrical projects, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), and maintaining high standards of workmanship. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electrical systems in both industrial and commercial settings. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with NEC standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks, including installation and repairs. Conduct tests using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues. Work with logic controllers to ensure proper functioning of automated systems. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing electrical work. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to the electrical trade. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in industrial settings. In-depth knowledge of NEC regulations and ability to apply them in practical situations. Ability to read and understand schematics for effective troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing issues. Experience working with high voltage systems is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
