Problem Solved Electric is looking for an experienced Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This is a residential service position focused on high quality electrical work, customer service, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and installations in occupied homes. We are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate well with customers, complete jobs efficiently, and take pride in doing the work right the first time. Compensation includes a competitive base hourly rate plus performance based pay tied to measurable results such as productivity, quality of work, customer satisfaction, job completion, and other company performance standards. Responsibilities Perform residential electrical service, repair, replacement, upgrade, and installation work Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify safe, practical solutions for homeowners Install and replace outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, breakers, panels, circuits, generators, hot tub wiring, EV chargers, and other residential electrical equipment Complete residential panel upgrades, service work, circuit additions, and electrical repairs Use meters and diagnostic tools to accurately troubleshoot electrical systems Ensure all work meets current NEC requirements and applicable local electrical codes Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas inside and around customer homes Protect customer property and treat each home with care and respect Communicate clearly with customers regarding the work being completed and any additional electrical concerns discovered Complete required job notes, photos, documentation, material tracking, and company paperwork Complete assigned work within scheduled job hours while maintaining quality and safety Coordinate with apprentices and other team members when assigned Prepare work for inspections and minimize corrections or callbacks caused by workmanship Maintain tools, materials, and company equipment in a professional manner Represent Problem Solved Electric professionally at every customer interaction Qualifications Valid Washington 02 Residential Journeyman Electrician license Strong residential electrical service and troubleshooting experience Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code and residential electrical requirements Ability to independently diagnose and repair common residential electrical problems Experience with residential panels, circuits, lighting, receptacles, generators, hot tubs, EV chargers, and similar electrical systems Comfortable working directly with homeowners in occupied residences Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards Reliable, professional, organized, and able to manage assigned jobs independently Comfortable using mobile apps for job notes, photos, scheduling, and documentation Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, meters, and standard electrical equipment Compensation This position includes a competitive base hourly wage plus performance based compensation.
