As an Electrician based in Baton Rouge, LA (South Plant) , you'll support the municipal wastewater industry by ensuring the safe, uninterrupted operation of mission‑essential electrical systems. You'll work alongside multi‑discipline technical teams to maintain and repair critical electrical equipment, keeping facilities running efficiently and safely. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform safe, time‑critical maintenance, and repair of mission‑essential electrical systems. Maintain and troubleshoot low voltage and medium voltage systems such as: Variable Frequency Drives (VFD); Equipment motors; Emergency generators; Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS); Panel boards, branch panels, motor control centers; and Related facilities equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. Solve complex electrical challenges in state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance in all work activities As an essential function of the position and as a business necessity, this role requires regular travel by motor vehicle to client sites, project locations, and other work-related destinations in connection with the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities. Accordingly, a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. Varied electrical and mechanical experience. Proven understanding of electrical system components and theory. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and equipment drawings. Ideally, you'll also have Trade school or technical program diploma High School Diploma or equivalent Working Conditions Safety is a core value at Jacobs. The base salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $64,400.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
