Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential and General Journeyman Electrician to join our team in the Portland Metro Area. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; implement effective solutions promptly. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards at all times. Requirements Valid Oregon Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in electrical work. (WA plus) Valid drivers license with a clean DMV record to drive a company vehicle Extensive knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and blueprint reading. Demonstrated experience with electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with schematics. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics accurately using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices. Strong background in construction site experience including new builds, renovations, and maintenance projects. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, framing carpentry skills, and basic handyman experience preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
