Install the power system that keeps their adventure going. Then get out and experience what these vans can do. Wolf Pack Overland is looking for a hands-on technician who enjoys audio, electrical systems, problem-solving, and taking pride in a clean installation. We're especially interested in experienced car-audio and mobile-electronics installers, along with people who bring RV, marine, solar, or vehicle electrical experience. Our customers come to us to make their Sprinter vans, Transits, Revels, Ekkos, and other adventure vehicles more capable, comfortable, and reliable. You'll help make that happen in a shop where the projects change, the work is interesting, and the people around you care about what they're building. Your day might include installing speakers and tuning an amplifier, building a battery and charging system, tracking down an electrical problem, or getting a customer connected with Starlink before a big trip. You'll work on projects like these: Audio systems: Speakers, tweeters, amplifiers, subwoofers, sound dampening, custom mounting, wiring, integration, and tuning.
Battery and power systems:
Lithium battery installations, battery upgrades, inverters, chargers, power distribution, and complete electrical builds.
Solar and charging:
Solar panels, charge controllers, DC-to-DC chargers, and alternator charging integration.
Connectivity and accessories:
Starlink, lighting, accessory power, and other equipment that makes travel easier.
Service and troubleshooting:
Diagnosing charging problems, intermittent faults, voltage drops, and issues in existing installations.
Finishing the job properly:
Secure mounting, protected and labeled wiring, system testing, and clear documentation. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio systems, video conferencing setups, and electrical components within adventure vans. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and control system diagrams to ensure precise system integration. Implement low voltage and high voltage wiring, cabling, and telecommunication connections following safety standards and technical specifications. Operate digital signal processing equipment and AV control systems to optimize sound and visual performance. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and audiovisual equipment in the field. Troubleshoot equipment issues using multimeters, voltmeters, and other hand tools; diagnose software or hardware malfunctions promptly. Collaborate with team members on live event AV production projects and assist in system testing prior to deployment. You'll work alongside our technical lead, an electrical engineer, with opportunities to deepen your skills and contribute your own ideas. We value people who ask good questions, think through a problem, and build something they're proud to put their name on. Requirements Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance. Proficiency reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics related to audiovisual control systems. Knowledge of control system programming (AV systems), digital signal processing, and video conferencing operation. Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking (including computer networking), and control systems. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; familiarity with mechanical knowledge for system integration. Electrical experience including low voltage wiring, cabling techniques, telecommunication infrastructure, and use of testing instruments like voltmeters. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience working on live event AV production projects or implementing audio systems is highly desirable. Valid knowledge of blueprint reading for AV installations combined with engineering troubleshooting skills. We'd love to meet someone who brings: Hands-on experience in car audio, mobile electronics, automotive electrical, RV systems, marine electrical, or off-grid power. A solid understanding of wiring, connections, circuit protection, and safe installation practices. Confidence using a multimeter and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Care when removing trim, routing wires, mounting equipment, and working inside a customer's vehicle. The ability to organize a project, communicate progress, and follow through. Curiosity, a willingness to learn, and respect for the people working beside you. Working here comes with some pretty great perks: Catered lunches every day. Highly competitive pay based on your experience and capabilities. A fun work environment with variety in your day-to-day projects. Opportunities to work on the kinds of systems and vehicles you enjoy. Opportunities for adventure van trips, rallies, expos, and events. Opportunities to attend off-road training and, as your experience allows, help with training. If you own an adventure van, want one, or love the idea of traveling in one, you'll feel at home here. We can help arrange opportunities to get out on trips and participate in the community around these vehicles. Owning a van isn't a requirement; interest and enthusiasm go a long way. For someone who loves electrical work, great audio, and getting off the pavement, this could be a very good place to spend your workday. Interested? Tell us what you've built.
