Full Job Description Shift:
Weekdays 7a-3:30p. The Master Electrician is responsible for the installation of electrical systems. To oversee the installation and maintenance of the entire power distribution system throughout Meriter Health Services. Shall oversee the work performed by all other electrical contractors providing services to the organization, as well as the electrical work performed internally. To work with the City Electrical Inspectors on inspections and/or issues that they may have. To work with Architects and Engineers on project development and improvements to the electrical distribution systems. Also, to manage any electrical permits that are needed by the organization. Required Qualifications:
High school diploma plus the necessary amount of college or vocational education necessary for State of Wisconsin certification as master electrician. At least 6 years of practical experience of electrical work. Current knowledge of all codes and electronic training. Must know, understand, and be able to implement electrical theory and all codes pertaining to a health care environment. Have knowledge of operation of equipment and building layout. Ability to make decisions pertaining to proper techniques and methods of repairing and installing hospital equipment in a safe manner. Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints and equipment wiring diagrams. Must be able to work well with others as part of a team.
