Job title:
Electrician/Maintenance Technician Schedule:
Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; 7:00am - 3:30pm
Weekend Requirement:
Rotation required - every 9th weekend
Holiday Requirement:
Rotation required.
Position Summary:
The Electrician/Maintenance Technician position services/maintains the integrity of the building's electrical systems. The role installs and maintains new electrical systems, tests, and assists in maintaining all the building systems, and continually builds upon and maintains the building network infrastructure. This role is responsible for the well-being and comfort of patients and staff that pertain to the building functions.
Position Responsibilities:
Completing work orders as they come in, making sure that every problem gets resolved. Repairing/updating systems as needed. Completing preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent failures. Conduct daily rounds to inspect for minor repairs. Maintain building equipment within scope of work. Locate, pick up, and deliver parts required for department needs. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Inspect and test system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions. Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a 4-year or 5-year apprenticeship program and/or graduation from a technical school or college preferred. Satisfactory completion of formal apprenticeship or completion of in-plant, four-year training program to satisfaction of the plant training committee preferred. Must hold and maintain a Masters Electrician license by the state of Wisconsin. 3+ years of related work experience required. Must maintain a valid, current driver's license and be MBMC insurable. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Thorough knowledge of electrical systems required. Ability to use voltmeters, thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices. Ability to read and follow instructions. Ability to operate related power equipment. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential. Why Mile Bluff Medical Center?
