An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree, or equivalent experience 2+ years experience in a role reading and understanding electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. 2+ years experience building and wiring electric panels Experience with difference between AC/DC electrical power. Mechanical aptitude to work with hand and power tools and perform layout and wiring of panels. Ability to read electrical drawings and understand related terminology. Knowledge of computer hardware and software including Windows, Google Drive, Microsoft Office applications Ability to learn and use hydraulic/electrical forklift/pallet jack equipment Understanding and ability to use basic arithmetic and algebra.PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Knowledge of NEC electrical code UL508A training or certificationEXPECTATIONS OF THE ROLE
Must be able to stand for long periods of the day Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. periodically through-out the day. Must be able to wear safety glasses and steel toed safety boots. Must be able to work overtime, when required Dress Attire -Casual:
Jeans or other long pants in decent condition (no shorts or skirts), plain T-shirt (no slogans) or collared shirt, comfortable shoes as long as they meet safety shoe requirements: non-conductive, protective toe.. A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted)Job Type:
