Journeyman Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to maintain and install electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings. Use various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools. Install or replace wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers, and other electrical devices. Inspect and maintain electrical systems in homes and businesses. Adhere to state and local building regulations. Complete work orders on time. Document work completed and materials used. Collaborate with other electricians, general contractors, architects, and team members. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in the field as an Electrician. Must have own set of hand tools. Power tools will be provided. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Strong understanding of wiring, circuits, and other electrical components. Ability to perform electrical tests, read results, and diagnose and repair electrical problems. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Effective time management. Strong work ethic. Understanding of local and national codes, regulations, and safety procedures. Ability to read blueprints and technical documents. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
