Responsibilities Maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and production machines, by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using precision measuring and testing instruments, always adhering to safe work practices. Monitor and observe mechanical and electrical devices in operation to assess performance and determine maintenance needs, supporting preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs. Develop a thorough understanding of plant systems and their functions to ensure reliable production operations. Carry and maintain necessary hand tools throughout the work shift and utilize company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Operate man lifts, ladders, and safety harnesses to perform repairs at various heights, including work on cranes, lighting, wiring, rooftop units, HVAC systems, and coolers. Manage parts inventory by signing out and tracking parts needed for maintenance and repairs. Complete repairs efficiently using standard electrical and mechanical troubleshooting methodologies. Participate in and contribute to team-based continuous improvement projects. Perform other related duties as assigned to support facility operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or related field. Basic understanding of machinery, factory operations, schematics, and blueprints. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with welding and torch operations. Familiarity with AC and DC electrical systems; experience with controls and PLC systems is a plus. Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Familiarity with ISO standards. Good manual dexterity and ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 70 lbs. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to temperature extremes and foundry environments. Commitment to wearing required PPE, including hardhat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection.
