is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Technician who is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, cleaning, and refurbishing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment both in the shop and on field projects. This role supports work on equipment such as electronic devices, relays, breakers, switchgear, and transformers. The Technician is responsible for completing tasks according to established procedures and safety standards, delivering efficient, accurate, high-quality work to ensure projects are finished on time and meet expectations. The Technician is responsible for completing all assigned tasks with established procedures and technical instructions, while adhering to all safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete required product assembly, modification, refurbishment or repair per specific instructions. Seek out clarification and support from supervisor or peers as necessary. Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and/or equipment. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Work safely at all times while following appropriate OSHA, MSHA, CAMCO and customer specific rules and regulations. Travel as necessary to perform field service projects. Assist with any customer-related needs within all operations of the company as required. Requirements Base Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Motivated self-starter who is interested in learning new skills. Good mathematical skills with the ability to analyze data and confirm product quality. Great organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability and willingness to travel, within a specific region (50%). Occasionally, some overnight travel will be required. Proficient with hand and power tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written). Possess a valid driver's license in good standing. Ability to read & interpret specifications and electrical wiring diagram/schematics. Experience with basic computer programs (Word, Excel) and/or ERP systems.
Preferred Requirements:
Advanced technical training and/or degree in electronics, mechanical or electrical equipment. Certification in 1 or more industry applicable programs such as NETA, PEARL, UL, and/or IR Scan. Experience with industrial electrical equipment application, service, repair or manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to include, but not limited to, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
