Job Description

NTI Marine/Offshore/Industrial is seeking an experienced Marine Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the maritime industry. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates for marine projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for marine projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements. Analyze data and specifications to ensure comprehensive estimates that align with project objectives and timelines. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to accurately estimate resources required. Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing information for quick reference and efficient estimating processes. Assist in the preparation of proposals and bid documents for potential projects. Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost expectations and potential adjustments. Continuously stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and cost fluctuations to enhance estimation accuracy.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in marine estimating or a related field or equivalent on the job experience. Strong understanding of marine construction and repair processes, materials, and equipment. Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail. Proficient in estimation software and tools relevant to the marine industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. How to
