Job Description

The Role We are seeking a highly motivated future leader to join our estimation team. In this role, you will learn our proven, hands-on methodology for manual quantity takeoffs from the ground up. Simultaneously, we are looking for a tech-savvy graduate who can leverage their educational background to help us modernize and transition our workflow into digital estimating software. We are looking for a long-term partner who wants to plant roots, grow into a Senior Estimator, and eventually help build and lead our estimating department.
What You Will Do Analyze Technical Drawings:
Review commercial architectural and structural engineering plans to identify scope requirements.
Perform Quantities Takeoffs:
Learn and execute precise manual takeoffs for structural metal, hardware, and fabrication labor.
Drive Software Integration:
Assist leadership in researching, testing, and implementing new computer-generated estimating software to modernize our workflow.
Manage Vendor Pricing:
Request, evaluate, and negotiate pricing quotes from raw material suppliers and specialty vendors.
Prepare Bid Packages:
Assemble accurate, competitive cost data for submission to general contractors.
What We Look For Education:
Bachelor's degree (4-year college) in Civil Engineering or Building Science.
Experience:
2 years of experience working with or for a commercial construction contractor. Candidates with internship experience for a commercial construction contractor will also be considered.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD. Exposure to or familiarity with any commercial estimating software is a strong plus.

Advanced mathematical aptitude, rigorous attention to detail, high intrinsic motivation, and demonstrated leadership experience (via campus organizations, previous jobs, or athletics). Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,539.30 per year
