Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material and labor requirements. Utilize estimating software to develop detailed project bids and proposals. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate pricing and scope of work. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes. Manage project budgets by monitoring costs throughout the construction process and implementing cost control measures. Analyze bid documents, contracts, and project plans to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Assist in managing projects by coordinating with our executive team on scheduling, procurement, and contract negotiations. Skills Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for cost analysis and data management. Knowledge of construction industry standards, contracts, and project management principles. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Demonstrated experience managing estimates for commercial construction projects with a focus on cost control. Ability to estimate material requirements accurately from blueprints and technical documents. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Construction site experience is advantageous for understanding on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
