Job Description

Job Overview Triad Restoration Montgomery is seeking an estimator who will be responsible for assessing property damage from disasters such as fire, water, mold, or natural events, and creating detailed cost estimates for both restoration and remodeling projects. They must work closely with clients, insurance companies, and restoration teams to ensure accurate assessments, competitive bids, and efficient project execution. Duties Utilize estimating software such as Xactimate, and other construction management tools to develop detailed project bids. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs from blueprints and construction drawings to determine project scope and cost estimates. Manage project budgets by estimating costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services while ensuring alignment with client expectations. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed spreadsheets and cost breakdowns for review by stakeholders. Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and during construction to maintain budget control; implement cost-saving measures when necessary. Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment to ensure accurate estimation aligned with project timelines. Review contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to update estimates accordingly. Communicate effectively with clients regarding bid details, project scope clarifications, and potential cost implications. Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations during estimation processes and be able to use job tracker in CCC. Qualifications Minimum of several years in construction, or project management roles. Experience in quantity takeoffs , bid preparation, and cost analysis is essential Boom & Bucket. Familiarity with building codes, market pricing, and project logistics improves accuracy and credibility. 2-4 Years experience as a Project Manager or Estimator for a General Contractor Proficient with the use of MS Office, knowledge of Xactimate. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
