Position Summary The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for leading the preparation of competitive, accurate estimates for electrical systems on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role provides technical expertise, market knowledge, and cost leadership to deliver winning proposals while ensuring profitability. Senior Electrical Estimator Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, low-voltage, and control systems. Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and scope documents. Evaluate labor, material, and subcontractor costs using standard productivity rates. Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor proposals. Participate in design-build and value-engineering processes. Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital estimating tools. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align scope and budgets. Maintain current knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards. Provide mentorship and training to junior estimating staff. Senior Electrical Estimator Qualifications 10+ years of estimating experience in electrical contracting. Journeyman Electrician license or Electrical Engineering degree preferred. Proficiency with Accubid, ConEst, or similar electrical estimating software. Deep understanding of NEC and industry best practices. Strong vendor and subcontractor network. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
