Job Summary The objective of an Estimator is to provide prices and lead times to customers in an efficient and accurate manner. An Estimator will work with supervisors and shop managers to establish lead times and labor for new projects. Some other responsibilities include follow up job costing. Essential Functions Specific OJT for the position. Read and interpret blueprints. Understand specifications (such as materials, processing and tolerances). Quote costs for raw materials and outside processing. Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs and requirements. Follow up on quotes as necessary. Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion. Job Requirements and Qualifications Three years minimum background in the manufacturing field and customer service. Basic computer knowledge to include efficient use of Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and employees.
