Construction Control Representive (Cost Estimor) General Services Administrion Public Buildings Service Summary As a Construction Control Representive (Cost Estimor), you will provide guidance and analysis to personnel on several aspects of Architect/Engineering and Construction costs.

Analyzes complex proposals, including those involving physical security, historic preservion, seismic upgrades, sustainability, ADA compliance, hazardous merials abement, and other specialized requirements. Performs calculions to determine cost-effective merial and design choices. Prepares budget and planning estimes for varied project types including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, office build-outs, parking, life-safety upgrades, security, accessibility, demolition, site work, historic preservion, seismic improvements, and any other construction reled disciplines. Reviews, verifies, and approves Architect/Engineer cost estimes, price proposals, and detailed estimes for projects ranging from modere to highly complex buildings and systems. Provides consultion to Architect/Engineering estimors, Project Managers, and design teams to ensure projects are designed within budget. Ensures estimes adhere to guidelines, accessibility codes, requirements, ethics provisions, and other applicable laws and regulions. Develops, implements, and reviews Quantity Takeoffs using automed tools. Develops and reviews parametric and definitive estimes using agency tools and commercial estiming software. In collaborion with Contract Specialist, manages and coordines the entire contract lifecycle for external subject mter experts and other services, from initial identificion and procurement through contract negotiion, execution, and closeout. Specialized experience is experience preparing detailed cost estimes for new construction, modernizion, renovion, repair, alternion and lease-construction projects.
This experience must include:
Using cost estiming software to prepare estimes; Ghering da, analyzing estimes and developing proposals for changes involving building modificions; Ensuring cost estime consistency across diverse project types; Providing guidance and analysis on construction costs (including: merials, labor, etc.); Making recommendions regarding contract specificions and construction practices.
