Responsibilities include assisting licensed personnel during procedures, performing technical tasks such as equipment maintenance, scope reprocessing, and monitoring resources. Key duties encompass assisting with patient assessments, vital signs, and specimen collection supporting physicians and RNs during procedures, including biopsies and patient positioning maintaining a sterile and safe environment following infection control protocols preparing and checking equipment and supplies, and ensuring proper documentation responding to emergencies and adapting to schedule changes troubleshooting equipment issues and participating in quality assurance and improvement initiatives Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED , at least one year of endoscopy or PCT experience , and CPR certification . Preferred qualifications involve completing GI tech or PCT training and having hospital or GI lab experience. Skills required include effective communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and adaptability .
