Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator / Permit Processor to join our commercial only swimming pool service team. We are a company that only provides services to cities, schools, counties, all large aquatics facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, managing permit applications, and ensuring all necessary documentation complies with local regulations. Your expertise will help streamline project planning, control costs, and facilitate smooth project approvals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse range of projects while honing your skills in estimation, permit processing. Duties Develop comprehensive project estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to negotiate pricing and scope of work to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Prepare and submit permit applications accurately, ensuring all required documentation aligns with local building codes and regulations. Track permit statuses, follow up with authorities, and resolve any issues that may delay project approvals. Assist in cost control efforts by reviewing contracts, change orders, and project budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with scheduling accouint manager to ensure estimates reflect current market prices for labor, materials, and equipment. Maintain detailed records of estimates, permits, correspondence, and project documentation for audit readiness and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations. Proficiency in communication through email the use of QuickBooks is a plus. Strong communication skills to secure favorable pricing. Knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles. Familiarity with permit processing procedures across various jurisdictions. Construction site experience that provides insight into practical project execution. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and permitting authorities. Pay:
