Job Description:

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Estimator with 4+ years of experience in the glass and glazing industry to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate bid proposals, reviewing drawings/specifications, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project teams from preconstruction through award. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, curtainwall, storefront, and architectural glass products, along with the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents Prepare detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial glass and glazing projects Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Develop competitive bid proposals and scope letters Coordinate with Project Managers, vendors, and clients throughout the estimating process Identify potential project risks and value engineering opportunities Maintain estimating databases and project records Attend pre-bid meetings as needed Qualifications 4+ years of estimating experience in the glass and glazing industry Strong understanding of storefront, curtainwall, entrances, mirrors, railings, and glazing systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience estimating large commercial projects Familiarity with Bluebeam, OST, or similar takeoff software Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary based on experience Bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO and paid holidays 401(k) with company match Long-term growth opportunities within a stable organization
