Job Title:
Restoration Estimator Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Restoration Estimator to assess property damage, develop accurate cost estimates, and coordinate with clients, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure restoration projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate the extent of damage caused by fire, water, mold, or natural disasters. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for restoration and repair projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear updates and addressing questions or concerns throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with insurance companies to provide all required documentation and support efficient processing of claims. Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to schedule work, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including photos, reports, estimates, and other required records. Review and interpret blueprints and related documents to support accurate estimating and project planning. Use estimating software and tools to prepare bids and proposals for restoration projects. Monitor project progress and quality, ensuring all work meets company standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues that arise during projects and support continuous improvement of processes. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to client inquiries and feedback. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Essential Skills Proven experience in restoration estimating, including damage assessment and cost estimation for fire, water, mold, or natural disaster projects. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with clients, insurance representatives, internal teams, and subcontractors. Proficiency in estimating software and tools commonly used in restoration projects. Experience preparing detailed bids and cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related construction documents. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. Customer service mindset with a focus on building trust and maintaining long-term client relationships. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with insurance companies on restoration claims and documentation. Familiarity with restoration-specific estimating platforms and tools. Background in coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors on construction or restoration projects. Experience maintaining thorough project documentation, including photos and written reports. Understanding of quality control practices and regulatory requirements in restoration and construction environments. Interest in professional development and growing within a collaborative, supportive team environment. Work Environment This role is primarily based in an office environment, working closely with a coordinating team of approximately 7-8 colleagues. The culture is collaborative and close-knit, with a strong emphasis on working hard, recognizing achievements, and investing in each team member's development and promotion opportunities. The standard schedule is approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed, and candidates should be open to occasional extended days. The dress code is business casual, reflecting a professional yet approachable atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burbank, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
