What You Will Be DoingPrepare conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, detailed takeoffs, hard bids, and GMP pricing for healthcare construction projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, HCAI requirements, logistics plans, phasing requirements, and constructability issues.
Lead subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, scope leveling, bid analysis, and vendor qualification efforts.
Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, project managers, and operations teams to develop accurate pricing and preconstruction strategies.
Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, phasing impacts, shutdown requirements, infection control concerns, and constructability challenges.
What You Need for This Position8+ years of healthcare construction estimating or preconstruction experience.
Experience with hospitals, medical office buildings, laboratories, imaging suites, surgery departments, or similar regulated facilities.
Strong knowledge of
Proven ability to develop conceptual budgets, GMPs, quantity takeoffs, value engineering analyses, bid packages, and subcontractor scope reviews.
Solid understanding of healthcare construction means and methods, including MEP-intensive projects, infrastructure upgrades, seismic retrofits, tenant improvements, and ground-up construction.
Design-Build experience, California healthcare construction experience, and established relationships with Southern California healthcare subcontractors and vendors highly preferred.

$150,000 - $175,000 + BonusFounded in the early 2000s, we are an established healthcare-focused general contractor and design-builder with more than 100 employees serving California's healthcare, life sciences, commercial, and institutional markets. Having successfully completed over 1,000 healthcare construction projects, we specialize in HCAI-regulated facilities, occupied hospital renovations, medical office buildings, laboratories, cleanrooms, imaging suites, surgery departments, seismic upgrades, infrastructure improvements, tenant improvements, and ground-up healthcare developments. We are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts, providing conceptual budgeting, bidding, value engineering, subcontractor coordination, and strategic cost guidance to help deliver complex healthcare and life sciences projects from early planning through project award.What You Will Be DoingPrepare conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, detailed takeoffs, hard bids, and GMP pricing for healthcare construction projects.
