Job Description

Construction Estimator Bush Construction is currently seeking candidates to fill a Construction Estimator position with the firm. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in our project development team by leading the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for construction projects. Job responsibilities
Include:
Communicate with subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required for each project. Review project documents with subcontractors to determine scope of work and identify problem areas in the documents. Assist in the preparation of comprehensive bid packages Attend project meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes. Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required. Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation. Collaborate with chief estimator, project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of project estimates. Other miscellaneous administrative tasks.
Required knowledge and skills:
3+ years prior construction cost estimating experience. Good communication skills. Ability to work well with others. Ability to work independently to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Ability to read architectural plans and specifications. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel. Proficient with Bluebeam. This position could include time spent at both the Clovis and Hanford office locations.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
