Position Summary Apex Site Solutions is looking for a rockstar Estimator to join our growing estimating team out of our Corona, CA office. This is not an entry-level role — we need a self-motivated, self-starter who is deadline-driven, highly organized, and ready to own the estimating process for projects across Southern California and beyond. You will be joining and working in step with a high-performing estimating team. This person will work hand-in-hand with our Business Development team and fellow estimators, taking primary ownership of a Southern California region (not limited to SoCal) while contributing to companywide estimating capacity as needed. The ideal candidate brings prior estimating experience from the telecommunications industry or from other large-scale construction or government-contract environments, and is comfortable reading and dissecting large, multi-page RFP packages to determine project fit against Apex's service offerings. A working knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret construction documents and communicate effectively with management, subcontractors, customers, and outside stakeholders. Travel is required, including occasional overnight stays for bid walks located outside the traditional SoCal market (e.g., NV, AZ). Key Responsibilities Attend and coordinate bid walks and job walk schedules and submission deadlines, including travel to sites within Southern California and to out-of-market locations (NV, AZ, etc.), with overnight stays as needed. Participate with management in selecting projects to bid and in determining fit based on Apex's service offerings. Read, interpret, and manage large, multi-page RFP/RFQ documents to scope requirements, deadlines, and submission criteria. Own, operate, and update the bid tracking process with near-100% accuracy and a sense of urgency. Collect, manage, and maintain data throughout the estimating/bidding process. Coordinate with operations to align estimating staff with project capabilities and workload; collaborate with other estimating department leaders to leverage companywide estimating resources as needed. Coordinate and prepare estimates and proposals for assigned projects, including project-specific considerations and assumptions, ensuring cost accuracy and a proposal letter that clearly communicates and qualifies the bid. Participate in value engineering of alternate materials, means, and methods of construction. Participate in qualifying proposals from suppliers and subcontractors, and support the procurement process as directed. Contribute to the development of business and marketing plans, including volume goal-setting. Maintain a deep understanding of construction documents across civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Drive to job sites throughout the designated geographic area as required Requirements Prior estimating experience in the telecommunications industry or in other large-scale construction / government-contract environments. Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail. Strong report writing and strategic planning skills Ability to read, interpret, and apply requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects. Expertise with analytical tools such as spreadsheets and database managers. Ability to read and interpret technical and construction documents. Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional time management and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills and the drive to work independently Valid driver's license and ability/willingness to drive to job sites throughout the region. Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays, for bid walks outside the traditional Southern California market. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications (Added Bonus) Demonstrated experience bidding large-scale construction projects. Proven ability to read and work through large, multi-page RFP processes and documentation. Working knowledge of the telecommunications industry. CPE, CCEA, CCE, or other relevant estimating certification. Location & Travel Base of operations: Corona, CA office — this position reports to the Corona office.

Southern California, but not limited to — this estimator may support work outside the immediate SoCal market as needed.
Travel:
Required, including occasional overnight stays for bid walks located in Nevada, Arizona, and other out-of-market areas.
