Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, including electrical schematics and blueprints, ensuring compliance with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, materials, labor, and equipment using estimating software like HeavyBid and other industry tools. Support the estimation process by researching material costs, subcontractor quotes, and vendor pricing to develop accurate project budgets. Collaborate with project managers and clients to negotiate pricing, scope of work, and contract terms effectively. Assist in reviewing construction contracts, ensuring adherence to project specifications and cost control measures. Contribute to project planning by analyzing construction site conditions and reviewing construction drawings for potential challenges or discrepancies. Support cost management efforts through tracking project expenses, managing budgets, and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety. Skills Proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including reading electrical blueprints and schematics.
