ACT is a Bay Area general contractor specializing in exterior reconstruction for multifamily communities and homeowner associations. We're seeking a Junior Estimator to help prepare scopes, takeoffs, estimates, and proposals. You'll work alongside experienced estimators on projects ranging from smaller repairs to major reconstruction work. What you'll do Visit properties to document existing conditions and perform field measurements and quantity takeoffs. Help develop scopes of work for stucco, siding, waterproofing, roofing, balconies, windows and doors, painting, and related repairs. Request and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals. Build and check estimate quantities, pricing, and supporting documentation. What we're looking for Some construction estimating, field, or related experience. Early career candidates with a strong interest in estimating are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with construction drawings, measurements, and basic construction methods. Strong Excel skills and comfort learning estimating software and company processes. Careful attention to detail, sound organization, and the ability to meet bid deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication. A valid driver's license and the ability to visit active construction sites throughout the Bay Area. An associate degree, bachelor's degree, construction certification, or relevant hands-on experience is welcome. Experience with multifamily reconstruction or exterior building repairs is a plus.
