Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Proposal Expediter to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring support for cost and scope of work revision analysis according to the needs of the project and supporting the overall efficiency of our processes. Responsibilities Thouroughly study and understand all project documents and develop a general understanding of baseline scope of work. Review and Understand Prime Contract Documents and Specifications as they relate to changes in scope of work. Review all PR's with the Estimator and identify scope of work revisions. Analyze PR's for constructability and economics. Investigate origin, cost, and schedule impact. Establish an early estimate to determine feasibility or alternative prior to RFP advancement. Develop Bid Head Sheets with Subcontractors/Vendors identified and distribute PR documents to the approporiate Subcontractors/Vendors. Review PR documents with the Project Manager to identify scope and schedule impacts and coordinate with Estimator. Review all Subcontractor/Vendor and RMC cost impacts with the Estimator and direct all approved cost changes to be keyed into PR head sheet. Maintain dialogue with major client representatives relating to cost proposals. Participate in weekly project teleconference meetings to provide current information relating to status of cost proposals. Ensure proper record keeping and filing is maintained in the corporate office relating to contract cost modifications. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Pre-Construction.
