In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating material quantities, preparing detailed takeoff reports, and collaborating closely with project managers, suppliers, and field teams. Your proactive approach will ensure seamless project planning, cost control, and resource allocation, contributing to the successful execution of construction and painting initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our project teams, driving efficiency and precision from the initial planning stages through project completion. Duties Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine material requirements for construction and painting tasks Prepare detailed takeoff reports that specify quantities of materials such as paints, primers, coatings, drywall, flooring, and other construction supplies Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate cost estimates based on takeoff data Assist in resolving discrepancies between project plans and actual site conditions by providing precise quantity assessments Maintain organized records of all takeoff documents and revisions for easy reference throughout the project lifecycle Support site teams by providing ongoing updates on material needs and adjustments during project execution Requirements Proven experience as a Takeoff Specialist or Estimator within the construction or painting industry Strong knowledge of construction materials, painting techniques, and related building codes Proficiency in using digital takeoff software and estimating tools (e.g., Quickmeasure) Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams including project managers, suppliers, and field crews Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of safety standards relevant to construction sites is a plus Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailQualifications:
Minimum 3 years of estimating/takeoff experience in the construction industry Experience with a painting contractor or commercial painting company strongly preferred Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings Strong knowledge of quantity takeoffs and construction estimating Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong computer skills and ability to learn estimating software Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Good written and verbal communication skillsLocation:
