Riverside Winnelson - Grand Terrace, CA Full-Time Riverside Winnelson is looking for an experienced Plumbing Quotations Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for commercial plumbing projects while working closely with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and our sales team. We are looking for someone who understands plumbing materials, can read plans and specifications, pays close attention to detail, and knows how to manage a quote from initial takeoff through award and order. Responsibilities Prepare commercial plumbing material quotations from plans, specifications, fixture schedules, and customer takeoffs. Review project documents to determine required materials and approved manufacturers. Perform material takeoffs and verify quantities, model numbers, sizes, and specifications. Solicit pricing and project quotations from manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, and vendors. Build complete and accurate customer quotations. Review pricing, gross margin, freight, lead times, and special-order requirements before submitting quotes. Identify approved equals, alternates, and value-engineering opportunities when appropriate. Work directly with contractors to answer questions, make revisions, and update quotes as project requirements change. Follow up on outstanding quotations and maintain awareness of bid dates and project status. Coordinate awarded projects with inside sales, purchasing, vendors, and customers. Assist with submittals, product information, and material verification when needed. Maintain organized electronic records of quotes, vendor pricing, correspondence, and project documentation. Develop strong relationships with customers and manufacturer representatives. Help the sales team identify opportunities to win additional project business. Qualifications Plumbing wholesale, commercial plumbing, estimating, or quotations experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of plumbing products and materials, including pipe, valves, fittings, fixtures, water heaters, drainage products, and related commercial plumbing products. Ability to read construction plans, specifications, schedules, and project documents. Strong math and computer skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines at the same time. Strong communication skills with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Ability to recognize discrepancies in plans, specifications, quantities, and product selections before they become problems. Comfortable negotiating vendor pricing and working to provide competitive customer quotations while maintaining appropriate margins. Experience in plumbing distribution or working with plumbing contractors is a major plus.
