Job Description

Job Overview You would be responsible for preparing accurate and timely bids for roofing work, with a primary focus on leaks, maintenance, and repairs, and assisting with re-roof estimates as needed. Core duties include daily estimating, requesting and confirming pricing with distributors and vendors, reviewing estimates with the Estimating Manager, and supporting Sales and Production by answering scope and pricing questions via email or phone. This is a full-time, in-office role. 3-5 years of construction estimating experience needed. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish and able to speak, read, and write both languages proficiently. Compensation includes commission eligibility. Responsibilities

    This is a part-time, remote role with variable workload. Must be able to support during peak demand (heavy rain) and work weekends or after-hours when scheduled by the Estimating Manager or Director.

  • Prepare accurate, timely proposals for roof and exterior shell leaks, repairs, and maintenance, and assist with re-roof estimates as needed.
  • Create scopes and pricing for multiple roofing systems, including: Asphalt Shingle, Tile (all types), BUR, and Single-Ply (PVC/TPO—heat-welded and adhesive applications), plus general framing/wood repair as applicable.
  • Review and interpret job documentation to build complete estimates, including photos, inspection notes, scope narratives, specifications, and (when provided) plans/blueprints.
  • Request, confirm, and track material and freight pricing from manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to support active bids.
  • Apply established labor and material markups for overhead and profit in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure estimates are accurate, thorough, and competitive, aligned with company templates and pricing standards.
  • Support Sales and Production by providing clear responses to scope, exclusions, and pricing questions via email or phone
  • Help manage the estimating workflow by keeping the estimating queue organized, prioritizing urgent items (especially during heavy rain), and meeting due dates.
  • Provide estimating support during peak demand (heavy rain), which may include after-hours or weekend work when scheduled by the Estimating Manager or Director.
  • Monitor material cost trends and escalate notable changes to the Estimating Manager to support cost control and process improvement.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with internal teams and external vendors to keep estimates moving efficiently.
Pay:
$73,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
